i didnt go to the show but a couple of my T+P obessessed friends did and said it was disappointing. her show is more video installation with some sounds, and those sounds are primarily 10+ minutes of her scraping the microphone on the ground.

yeah that show kind of sucks. and if you want you can watch this T+P video i got once as a promo. it's pretty bad and what she shows while she performs. chu hui has seen it. she can attest.

that makes me feel way better. perhaps seeing the show would have been itself a super low. that's too bad, i loved her last time i saw her a couple years ago.

i saw her at 1026 about 4 years ago and loved what she was doing. her turn towards video, its understandable, but its not as captivating. plus, i kind of dislike the whole "feminist video" aesthetic in shambles. there's nothing empowering about using shitty camera setups.

i was looking forward to TEWWG (i can't believe i just typed the acronymn...that -4 points for me) and forgot. so, how was it?

i have to agree that game night and the sunglasses montage was a weekend high point. getting cat scratches and bandaids was part of the fun...thanks mommi.

as for the brunch thing, i'm glad i didn't get invited. katie resorted to getting drunk. they suck.

i wish i wasn't invited to brunch. hmm.

TEWWG was either really great, or I was so excited to be watching a rendition of the book that it didn't matter to me how good or bad it was, it was just so exciting anyway. so, to answer yr question, i "loved" it, but i'm not sure if i really did. they simplified teacake like sumthin sumthin though. he wasn't nearly as deep and complicated as he is in the book (of course). however, halle berry is hot, and some of the scenes were really well done.
