Her laugh is intoxicating, he keeps her dipped, looking at the bare flesh of her neck.
When she looks up at him, those deep eyes full of light and relief, he has no words.
The dance was meant to bring her spirits up, not entangle him in her.
But it has.
He is.
And it takes the beginning of another song to snap him back to reality.
"Again?" She asks, and Jack smiles with a nod.
"Of course." He brings her up and kisses the back of her hand.
This time the dance would be playful.
This time she'll lead.
