Drabble #1

Gwen had watched Jack kiss every member of Torchwood under the mistletoe, and none seemed particularly chaste. She hadn’t been avoiding the sheer number of sprigs placed strategically throughout the Hub, he just hadn’t caught her yet.

She was beginning to feel slighted when he leaned in close from behind and tilted her chin towards him. His lips danced over hers in sumptuous fashion, richly tasting and wantonly teasing her into giving him more than she had intended. She stared at him as he broke off, leaving her flushed. He winked and walked away.

There was no mistletoe in sight.

Drabble #2

They're leaving the Hub, having played the Secret Santa game where everyone got their gift, except for Gwen.

Before she can get a start on figuring out who is missing, she receives a text.

"Meet me in the Hub."

Gwen quirks an eyebrow and turns around, walking back inside.

Once she gets there, the first thing she sees is Captain Jack, wearing the black silk strapless dress she had asked her Santa for.

She laughs into her hand, "Are you mad?"

"No. Isn't this what you asked for?"

"I'm not sure it's my size."

"It's not the dress I'm offering."

Drabble #3

Jack wouldn’t have figured Gwen for that kind of girl. The kind that wears her best jumper and the one blouse she owns to the Christmas service.

Yet there she is, hymnal held in both hands, with her head tilted down to read. A smile is playing around her lips as she sings something about glory or hallelujah. He isn’t sure; he isn’t really listening.

He’s standing at the door when she turns, smiling. For half a moment, her smile quirks mysteriously before she is at his side and they’re out into a world that’s nothing to do with glory.

Drabble #4

Eggnog, mistletoe, garland and even a small musical spinning tree showed up at the Hub the days before Christmas. Jack really didn't think it all was necessary, and would have told someone off, if Gwen hadn't been caught sneaking into his office to put some yuletide carol music in the stereo.

She had given him a sheepish grin and ducked back to her corner, but something in the way she shoved her hair back made him study her.

Later he stopped her as she was leaving their Christmas party and pulled her aside. He clicked a switch and they danced.
