enragedsilver Summary: He likes doing these types of movies. It makes his life a little more exciting than what it routinely is. For once he was casted in an action flick and he's really excited. Only one little problem... he can't get why they need that stupid stuntman in the film at all.
For

A/N: AH! So sorry for the delay Crimson! I swear it was suppose to be fast, but things got out of hand and yeah... here is the second thank you for the wonderful poster chappie even though it's way late. =D And as always, hope you're enjoying your graduation gift Hazel! And to everyone, happy late Christmas and a Merry New Years... hm... that sounds wrong but I'll leave it. \^o^/ Enjoy!
P.S. I left the big letters since many of you stated that you found it easier to read that way. And I changed my layout *cries* because my other layout was coming up as malware in browsers not connected to firefox, so maybe the layout change will help (as seen in the general current lj problems people are experiencing). Anywho, still working on that incest fic along with others, but at a slow pace still since I've been somewhat busy with holidays (I swear, I'm more busy on vacation than actual work time). See u guys later. ;)
****Chapter 4****
Changmin relied heavily on his apartment door as the police siren went off somewhere in the background. Hearing the police siren was like a lullaby to him by now and he barely even noticed it.
Today had been just awful. Ever since he'd grabbed Jaejoong's hand by instinct he hadn't been able to concentrate on anything fully, causing him to make mistake after mistake... only fueling Jaejoong's fury at him further.
"What are you doing?!! You're not supposed to do that!"
Jaejoong had shouted at him when he'd gone the wrong way, hitting a dead end that wasn't scripted.
"Are you freakin' kidding me! This is impossible!"
Jaejoong's frustrated voice echoed through his head, tormenting him further. He'd never had this feeling of failure before and it felt awful.
The director had had enough and had told them they could go home, that he'd just begin shooting another scene and for them to come back the next day.
That they better not mess up again, since they were on a deadline.
Changmin had felt guilty, since it was the first time this had happened to him. He was known for his professionalism as well as his perfectionism, but it seemed that when dealing with Jaejoong he travelled back to his high school years... that awkward phase of his life.
Changmin was so busy reprimanding himself and worrying about how he'd go back to his normal self that he forgot one small detail.
Jaejoong himself hadn't been his normal professional self either.
**
Jaejoong cursed once more as he paced from side to side in his apartment. He disregarded Yunho's suspicious looks and grew angrier as he flashed back to the set earlier today. He felt agitated that he hadn't given one hundred percent today and his anger naturally went to the cause of it.
Why did that guy disturb him so?
He didn't even know the damn stuntman's name for god's sake!
He should not even be thinking about him right now!!!!
WHY WAS HE STILL THINKING ABOUT THAT DAMN CLUMSY FOOL!!!!!
"JAEJOONG!" Yunho's yell finally penetrated through the yelling of his mind and he jumped, immediately coming back to the present.
"What?" He asked skeptically, unsure of why Yunho looked so angry. Did he say something important to him? "Sorry Yunho, did you say something?"
Yunho got up and began pacing, making Jaejoong even more curious as to why the other was so out of sorts. Was the stuntman responsible for his friend's behavior too? That guy was just making enemies, wasn't he? Now he knows why Yunho was so mad at him... but wait. Was Yunho mad at the stuntman because he was good and he felt he could be replaced by him? That for sure didn't seem like the same man he'd worked with today. By the way the stuntman worked, he'd have thought he would've gotten fired already due to his clumsiness and slow reflex's.
"Will you stop pacing around so much?! You're driving me crazy with your mutterings about that stupid stuntman!" Yunho paused abruptly in front of him and for some reason Jaejoong grew uncomfortable with their proximity. He frowned. Since when was he uncomfortable with Yunho? Ever since they met, he'd felt as if he'd known him all his life. He unconsciously distanced himself, trying to get rid of the strange vibe he was getting from Yunho. He seemed like some... hm, he didn't even know what to call that look in Yunho's eyes currently.
"Well you constantly grumble about him yourself, why can't I?" Jaejoong replied, getting a little angry. The one time he needed Yunho to just shut up and listen to him whine about someone else, and his friend couldn't return the favor. How many times had he had to listen to Yunho whine about another co ac-AH! STUPID DIRECTOR! HE WAS NOT GOING TO JUST THINK WHAT HE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO THINK!
Yunho took a deep breath and visibly calmed down, his face turning blank.
'Well that was weird,' Jaejoong thought. He had never seen Yunho masking his emotions before as clearly as right now.
"Sorry Jaejoong. You're right. You have every right to vent your anger... but this is the first time I've seen you react like this with anyone, so you must understand how confused I am right now..." Yunho said calmly and finished with a small smile.
Jaejoong sighed. His friend was right. This wasn't normal behavior for him and the fact that a stupid stuntman had caused him to behave this way was just giving someone too much credit. He was Kim Jaejoong... and something this pitiful shouldn't be bothering him. He didn't want to give a simple stuntman so much credit.
"Sorry Yunho. You're right too. I'm behaving way out of the ordinary for someone who doesn't even deserve it. Let's get back to talking about where we should eat, okay? You know, I kind of feel like trying that new restaurant that just opened down the block." Jaejoong said, a little happier than a few seconds before.
He completely put the thoughts of the stuntman away and focused on debating what they should eat. Both were starving after their long day of filming and deserved a peaceful meal to take their minds off of work for a couple of minutes.
**********************
The next day was a decisive date and he was determined to prove to Jaejoong he was the best of the best. He couldn't let his crush for the star overshadow the long months he spent trying to be the best in his field. He had to prove to the other he deserved the title of being Jung Yunho's stuntman. He didn't want Jaejoong to remember him as the unworthy stuntman who couldn't keep it together enough to get the scenes right, so the movie never got finished... okay, he knew he was overacting, but who cared. He had every right to overact. It really did seem as if Jaejoong disliked him... and not just a little.
As soon as he stepped into the set for the action scene he saw Jaejoong tense and glare at him. He literally felt a chill run down his spine and not the pleasurable kind either. With his heart racing, he willed himself forward in as much of a professional way as he could possible do. So much for causing a good impression on his idol in the second meeting. At the rate this was shaping up, he'd be lucky to be remembered in a good light in the future. But maybe it was still too early to tell? He grabbed on to that hope and smiled shyly at Jaejoong, trying to transmit his embarrassment and apology for yesterday.
*
Jaejoong felt his face heat up, out of nowhere, and felt himself get angrier. Why was his heart racing all of a sudden? Just because that-that-that stuntman smiled at him? Because of the way his eyes crinkled slightly in shy embarrassment and apology all at once, causing him to look years younger than his actual age? Almost adorable in a way... What the hell was he smiling at anyway? As if a smile will make the action scene magically appear.
To hide his flushed cheeks, he turned away abruptly and walked towards the director to receive instructions on the upcoming scene. He refused to acknowledge anything outside of the set when dealing with that stuntman. He just wanted to get this over with and move on with the film already.
At first he had been excited about the role of playing a type of Sherlock Holmes in a film, but now he just wanted to get it over with already and be as far away from that man as possible. He refused to think of the reasons why.
He tensed when he felt the stuntman come up from behind him, for some reason he felt his presence more keenly than he'd ever felt anyone else's in his life and that unnerved him. Before he could think further on getting away from him, the director began his little speech.
**
"Alright guys! This is it. Last day to shoot this scene, so I pray to god you guys know what you're doing. Time's running out and I really want to shoot those other scenes on schedule... good thing I leave one day for cases like yesterday. That gives us a little leeway of timeframes... but that doesn't mean you should slack off! Anyway, I want to see the professionals I hired, okay? Not this little dance of he likes me he likes me not you two have going on here." The director muttered the last part to himself more than to the two actors in front of him, but relished the way both turned as bright as a tomato because of his comment. He had just been teasing, but the way they reacted gave him pause. He shook his head and shrugged it off. What did he care what the actors did in their spare time. As long as it didn't mess up his movie, he could care less who liked who or who dated who.
"Alright, let's get going. Warehouse scene again, and I want-" The director continued on pointing out scenes he especially liked and wanted more details of, noticing how two of his main stars tensed when he mentioned he wanted more interaction between the Changmin and Jaejoong. He suspected Jaejoong was tense because he truly seemed to dislike the stuntman... but why was Yunho tense? He decided to stop thinking about it, since it would only confuse him more, and focused on directing his actors to what he wanted from them....
**
Yunho couldn't believe this. It was as if someone was forcing them together! He couldn't very well tell the actual director to 'forget it! Jaejoong isn't going anywhere near that stuntman!' could he? Even he knew that if you wanted to keep a role, you didn't mess with the director. If he got fired, how would he keep watch over Jaejoong and that asshole that was sneakily working his way into Jaejoong's thoughts.
Oh, he'd noticed alright. He had to keep himself in check yesterday before he did something he would later regret. Although, thinking back, maybe he should've tried that alternative instead. Animosity seemed to have worked on Jaejoong far better than friendship had. His blood boiled just remembering the way Jaejoong had talked about the stuntman. He felt powerless to fight against an invisible foe, but even more so in this moment where he could only stand by and see how Jaejoong and that man interacted.
He clenched his teeth when they grazed each other's shoulders in a fight scene or when they did moves together in such synchronization that even he envied their team work. Something he'd had to work on with Jaejoong when they'd began filming the movie.
When the director yelled that it was a rap and that he had their scenes, he seemed to be the only one to witness the way the other two had gazed at each other for a split second before leaving in separate ways.
"Yunho! Yo!" Jaejoong waved his hands in front of a startled Yunho.
"Aish, don't scare me like that Jae!" Yunho said while grabbing his chest. He'd been so into his dark thoughts that he hadn't realized Jaejoong had walked over to him.
Jaejoong raised an eyebrow before continuing, "Well, if you'd been paying attention you would've realized that I was standing right beside you. Jeesh man, what were thinking about? You gave me the chills just looking at you. Who were you planning to murder?"
Jaejoong soon laughed after saying that and Yunho chuckled along. If Jaejoong only knew how close to his thoughts he'd hit, he would've been scared. He mentally sighed. Even if he wanted to, he didn't believe himself capable of killing, so there went that idea.
"Shut up Jae. So, are we filming today or what?" He asked as he began following Jaejoong out the set.
"Appears so. We'll begin the indoor scenes today. You feel up to it?" Jaejoong said happily. Yunho grew suspicious of this, but decided he'd thought too many negative thoughts for one day and that it was barely afternoon. Plus, he was hungry. He couldn't plot without food.
"Right after lunch I will. Please say we have a lunch break." He whined and pouted, trying to be cute but only looking slightly ridiculous. Jaejoong laughed at his antics and clapped his back.
"Weren't you listening at all? Of course we're on our lunch break. Pay attention Yunho." Jaejoong finished off by hitting Yunho in the back of the head and laughingly running way.
Yunho instantly began chasing Jaejoong completely out of the set and towards their cart, completely missing the jealous look Changmin sent their way.
**
'Why can't he look at me that way?' Changmin thought forlornly. He never thought he'd feel jealous over something that wasn't his. Clearly Jaejoong didn't think of him in any way that he thought of him, yet he still felt as if the other shouldn't be looking or treating Yunho that way.
Clearly something was wrong with him.
For now, he didn't care as he saw their figures disappear in the cart. He preferred to see the professional Jaejoong sitting across his co-star any day rather than his playful side. It just made it all too clear that he'd never have a chance to be in Jung Yunho's position... and that both hurt and cause envy in his heart.
And the worst of it all?
He'd be back to being away from Jaejoong until their next action scene. He'd have to stand back and wait to be allowed to glimpse him again from afar.
He'd have to be contented with the way they'd worked together today... but that would have to be enough.
After all, he never would expect Jaejoong to look at him the same way he looks at Jaejoong. It's too much of a farfetched idea. Kim Jaejoong, actually grow to love him?
Never, not in a million years.
