I love these conference posts! The illustrated notes are great, and it's so interesting to hear about all the non-illustration stuff that goes into being an illustrator. I guess it's the same for everyone (certainly entomologists)-- there are enough workshops and meetings and symposia and conferences to completely occlude any actual... y'know, work. Looks like you're a pro at finding that balance.
