hey guys. someone at D-Addicts shared this piece of very old (2002) news about Yamapi being attacked by some weird guy but he escaped unharmed. so please, nobody panic and cause alarm in the fandom. i just wanted to ask if anyone knows anything bout it? help from veteran JE fans or Yamapi fanatics?

That's been going around the fans so long it's really turned into a case of chinese whispers.
You have the reports so I guess that's the most accurate account you're going to get. Other rumours include:
1)When Yamapi was a Jr he was rumored to be dating some Jpop girl so one of her fans stood in Yamapi's line (where fangirls give gifts to their favorite Johnny's after Shonen Club) and attempted to throw an unknown liquid into his face.
2)Jin got in front of Yamapi and Tackey pushed the guy away.
3)Yamapi called out Toma's name when it happened and it was actually Toma who got in front to protect him - therefore often used by Toma fans as proof that tomapi will never die ;)
4)I even heard once that the supposed girlfriend organised it with one of her fans after Yamapi dumped her. Ahh conspiracy theories. I love them.

I think it's true because it was also published in a unauthorized pap book about Pi and in the archives of TokyoGraph. I think the rumored girlfriend was Maki Goto (?) and the guy was her fan. Apparently he was jealous that she's going out with Pi and decided to scare Pi. However, it was learned later that it was another Johnnys Jr. that was her bf and not Pi. So Pi got the scare of his life because of that rumor. Everybody thought it was acid thrown on Pi's face but luckily, it was just water.

I also think that's why Mary/Johnny enforced the "No public girlfriend" rule and decreased fan contact with johnnys because stupid ish like this happens.

I'm just glad Pi got good friends around him that'll protect him in any situations. Much <3 to Takki, Jin and Toma.

ah, Maki Goto from H!P. well, im gonna take it as it's true then since there's even a source cited.

but now im really curious to know such juciy stuff. :P i now know some conspiracy theories bout this and Jin's hiatus. and the love history of Junno even though i didn't want to know and Yamapi. XD
