I had this list in my head of people that would be at VidCon that I hoped to meet & events I hoped to go to but knew realistically that it would be impossible to do it all. I went to a huge meetup this weekend at the Golden Gate Park. Honestly I've been feeling pretty meh about lolita lately because #1 I'm frighteningly broke & #2 most meets happen in San Francisco and getting up there is such a hassle. VidCon was epic- best con experience ever. We drove down on my birthday, after finals and finally got to our friends house, aka sleep, around 5am. When we finally got up on Thursday we went to pick up our registration packages & tried to go to the Nerdfighter meeting. We went on an epic adventure on our last day in Canada. Before heading off to the airport we headed out to conquer Grouse Mountain. We wandered through the snow in 80 degree weather, visited Grizzly Bears and went ziplining over giant valleys. We thought the zipline thing might be too intense (since we are both afraid of heights) but it was amazing ( Read more... )
