Yay baby! Norwegian girl name starting with O: Olaug. Also Orlaug (nearly extinct.) I have had two friends named Olaug and an aunt named Orlaug, so it is certainly Norwegian. Not sure if it exist in other Scandinavian countries, I am pretty sure it comes from old Norse as do all the -laug and -veig names. Speaking of which, Oddlaug, Oddhild and Oddveig are all Norse female derivatives of Odd, but don't think you can add those suffixes to any and all male names. Just the most Norse of the Norse! ^_^
I prefer to use the name Odd in twins, naming one of them Odd and the other Even. Both of them good Norwegian names... Don't get Even, get Odd!
I was thinking about Oddhild if it would have been a girl, but since the mother's name is Audhild it would be silly. I could have named him Olaf, too, but Odd is funnier, especially in English :)
I like to keep the recessives going, but I go more for my sims wants. And Audhild wanted Tobias. The fact that he was a concealed redhead was a pleasant surprise!
Yay for a baby boy, and yay for red heads. Yes Tobias is dyed red as you mentioned in my Fellowship One blog, and I like him as a red head. The name Odd is very fun. Audhild is very pretty....
