"Hey. I'm in Fandom. And stuff is... happening."

Given the volume of noise in the room, Isabel couldn't be blamed for missing the call. When she finally did check her phone, she slipped into the bathroom for some quiet and called Parker back.

"Stuff is happening?" she said once Parker answered the phone. "That's putting it mildly."

Parker paused, arrested. "Are you here too? And do you have a visitor?"

"I'm parked in a suite at the hotel," Isabel replied. "Currently watching Liz and Maria both cry and laugh at Alex. At the same time. It's both funny as hell, and sad."

"You do remember about Alex right? He died right after I came to Fandom. Tess killed him."

"Oh, God, yes." The first of many many reasons Isabel hated March. "Whoa. Well. Then you won't be too shocked when I tell you, uh." She cleared her throat. "My mom's here."

"Oh man..." she breathed. "How's that working out?" Isabel could just imagine the conversation they had.

"Well... she's furious with my father. Thrilled to be able to visit me." Parker cleared her throat. "And she keeps asking if I'm going to propose to Jarod."

[izzyalienqueen]

"Okay, that all makes sense," Isabel replied. "Right up until the part about proposing to Jarod. What'd I miss?"

"Drake teleporting him onto my boat as a going-away present after graduation. When we were an hour out of port."

[izzyalienqueen]

Unable to help herself, Isabel cracked of laughing. "Oh that big old sappy romantic. How indignant was Jarod?"

"For about five minutes I think he wanted to kill Drake for the high-handedness. You know what he's like." She smirked then, looking out on deck where her mom and Jarod were talking. "After that, he had other things on his mind."

[izzyalienqueen]

"I'm so not asking what those other things were," she laughed. "But that's cool. Trapped on a boat, you got a chance to talk."

[mparkerceo]

"I pushed him off the boat. Twice. He had it coming," Parker felt compelled to add. She was not going soft! "...but we did drag him out again."

[izzyalienqueen]

"It's the modern equivalent of keelhauling?" Isabel laughed. "Good for you."

Anything else she would have said was interrupted by a pounding on the door. "It's a bathroom Isabel," Michael yelled. "Not a phone booth!"

"Your brother is still intensely obnoxious," Parker said, snickering. "And well. Yeah. Is everyone having fun catching up with Alex? Or is there weirdness?"

[izzyalienqueen]

Isabel opened the door and glared at Michael before she headed over to a slightly more quiet corner of the room. "There was a lot of guilt to deal with in the beginning. But we're mostly past it. Alex isn't holding it against us and it's hard to be emo when Maria is bouncing off the walls with excitement. So we're dealing. Wyatt on the other hand..."
