About 40 minutes. The paths werent the nicest, with the ice and slush but I didnt nearly wipe out. I'll progressively faster as I get used to running it. Im hoping to increase by 1 km every month, like that I'll have the 5 extra km by may.
That's pretty cool. I walk about that far to and from work everyday (stupid bus strike) and I know I couldn't run the whole way. The 10k run you are planning to do in May; is it in Ottawa or are you doing one elsewhere?
Yea, I walk home some evenings cause of the strike, from the byward market to hurdman, about an hour, 4.5km. I'd train by running it but it's the bag that I carry that's the issue. I just need to figure out how to pack it and I'd be good to go.
I'm pretty sure the race is in Ottawa. My trainer is the 1 who told me that we were going to do it. I'm kinda excited to do it actually and I find that running outside really nice, even in winter. Just as long as there isnt a strong cold wind, it's actualy not bad.
