I think you should proceed with the avoidance of all things highschool--I'm a firm believer that some things just need to stay in the past, and god, for me too, high school is one of them. If you don't feel like replying, don't. Thus is one of the lovely perks of email.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is happy to leave eleven years in the past, well, eleven years in the past. I mean, good for her for wanting to make amends, but there's really not whole lot for us to say to each other. And it's not even that I'm super bitter or still hurt or anything, I mean it was friggin' high school fer cryin' out loud, who cares! Right? I'm a very forward-looking person. It's the only way to be. Hell, I barely remember past last week.

Oh, honey. Definitely avoid the high school issues. I'm only like, 3 years past high school, but I couldn't be happier. Past life? Yah. And the funny thing is, I was one of those people who was *whispers* a cheerleader. And I still don't want to hang with my BFFs from high school and stuff. They're all doing shit with their lives now, anyways. I ran into Candace at McAlisters a week ago (one of the hipster chicks that snobbed me), and she told me she had been at Ole Miss and was going to teach kindergarten this fall, and asked me what I'd been up to, so I said "Oh, just...you know. Yeah, I'm sorta flattered? glad? touched? that she decided to email after all this time, but I just don't feel like retreading that ground. If I were still really pissed or hurt or something, that would be one thing, but I just don't care. And that alone made me feel like a cold person. *shrugs*

I may be the only person in the world who had a pleasant high school experience, and I still talk to the people I knew from then, and it's been 10 years for me, lol. But yeah, if you're not into it, then don't worry about it, and don't feel guilty. You don't owe her anything at all. And if she was a bitch to you then, she probably still is. You aren't cold, just practical! :)

I took two things from my whole highschool experience: Jack and shit and jack left town.
