Wow!!! that's amazing .. I didn't know you could get wire like that still, or even kits!!

I talked to the women, and they have everything made for them based on a period original they own. If you scroll down to the very bottom of the page, they list how you can buy just the wire :) In the kit they mention you can buy other parts as well.

Oooh, that turned out gorgeously. Of course, now I wonder whether it was worth the time. Hmmm...well, perhaps as it looks awesome!

Ya, I'm not really sure if was worth the time either. I bought the kit because I thought it would be quicker than fixing the corded petticoat...Who knows? At least now I have two options, and it is pretty kickass I just need a little time to go by before I really love it.

It looks great, although a little crazy making at the same time

Yes, definably crazy making! Their is definitely the huge plus though of it looking very historically accurate. Oh and it is SO LIGHT WEIGHT. I can barely tell I am wearing it.

Isn't it just!!

Though, one warning. If you wear it in cold weather, make sure you have proper pettis underneath.

I wore it last Christmas at Kentwell's Dickens Christmas and I froze on the first day with just cotton beneath it. This year, I will have a quilted petticoat underneath!

Good point! I hadn't thought about that. May not be as big of a problem here in Los Angeles but I imagine night events will get a bit chilly. I think a frilly little underskirt is in order :)

Thanks :) I like that the kit allowed for some customization. It'd be fun to line people up and see the different shapes they got.
