Thank you! I really love these sleeves too. Next time I make a blouse for myself I am going to use them.

Goodness, it is beautiful, Like you stepped right out of a period fashion plate! All you need is the silly hat

The shape is dead on correct and you even get the ideal "two scoops" look from the stays!

I want to make a silly hat so bad, a big spoon bill one. I can't decide on an outer garment though (open robe, levite?) I want them to match. Something that still shows off the froofyness of the sleeves.

:) Thanks!

Very nice! Agreed, the shape looks right out of a period plate; dead on! And I love the fluffy ruffles of the dress. =)

Thanks! The corset really does make such an amazing difference in shillouette. I really love the ruffles too, It just makes the dress look so soft, like whipped cream or something.

I'm glad other people like the ruffles too, I was a little worried they could end up being overwhelming.

Really love this, wich pattern did you use? Or did you draw it yourself.
And a 19th century rushing workshop! ohmygod, where did you follow it? is it anywhere on the internet?

The pattern is one I draped myself over my mannequin and stays. It is based off of a gown in The cut of Woman's Clothes by Norah Waugh. If you want to read in detail, this link will bring up all the relevant entries: http://izodiea.livejournal.com/tag/swiss%20dot%20gown

The Rushing workshop (Which was amazing!) was hosted by the Bay Area Costumers Guild and Taught by textile artist Candace Kling, I don't know where you are located, but this is the classes schedule on her website: http://www.candacekling.com/
