The Karate Teen's friend Sailor Blond is spending the weekend with us. Both guys wanted Dim Sum for breakfast, so we got our bones up and moving. The Empress Pavilion was its normal self, yummy. I have a marker for spring that I watch for every year. In late April and early May the jacarandas bloom, and that is the best indicator of spring that I know of.

It was a bad night in the ixixlix household. No one slept well.  Getting the Kid off to school this morning was a mutual exercise in tolerance and goodwill.  I've had four hours of sleep, he's had six. He woke with a headache.
