Hunh, I thought I'd enjoy sleeping in a little more than I did

I was going to be a big girl and go to bed at 10 pm instead of 6 pm last night, just like an adult. I was going to watch Vikings. Somewhere between 8:30 and 9 pm I fell asleep on the couch and didn't wake up until about 20 after. So much for Vikings - at least last night ( Read more... )

oh girl...I have similar back issues...mine are two compressed disks at the base...and too much standing causes pain too...do you see a chiropractor, i know regular visits for me help immensely...I also have to lift a 45 lb paralyzed child a lot which doesn't help matters....so I'd be lost without a chiro...i know a lot of people are freaked out by the whole bone popping thing, but really for something like what you're describing it would be more therapy than bone popping....so I don't think you'd have too much to worry about. And I dunno about insurance for you, but like my hubs just changed jobs and our new insurance isn't going to cover chiro, so I have to pay out of pocket, but a lot of chiros make good deals for their patients who do that, like my old one in Portland before we moved if you paid out of pocket it was a really great price only charged 45$ no matter what he did, where as if he was billing insurance there was all kinds of charges...so I'm hoping my new guy here in Salem has a similar deal. I would definitely look into ( ... )

I do go to a chiropractor, I have for most of my life to one degree or another. The last few years...not so much, but when this new problem developed several months ago I finally sought out another. I haven't been going as much as I should because I don't have insurance yet either but I'm going to have to step it up to a minimum of once a week and twice if I need to. He charges $40 a visit for a pretty thorough going over. I get to spend 5-6 minutes on a roller table before the adjustment. I swear, if I ever win a lottery I'm buying one of them for myself. I love them!
