'Won't you take me where the streetlights glow?'

1) I went to school forty minutes early today for nothing. God, it was so annoying. I needed to make up a test, and one of the teachers (since the class is co-taught) wasn't there this morning, and she also forgot to give the other teacher these papers and stuff that you couldn't take the test without, and that's two weeks now that I've been ( Read more... )

I hate when teachers aren't there. The subs are never prepared for anything. I think all teachers should make folders for subs just in case they ever get sick, so that subs know what's going on in the classroom. I once had a sub teach an entire lesson on corn and preach about Jesus. It was hysterical, but not what we were currently learning about.

I need to see more French films. The only one we ever watched in French class was Beauty and the Beast(the Disney animated one) in French with English subtitles. But we did have a cheese and wine tasting! With cranberry juice :P

My concert virginity was stolen when I was four by Audio Adrenaline. The Decemberists seem a much better choice.

Yeah, I think most of them do, but so far this year, we've only had one sub that seems to sub for every single teacher. And he's the one that always falls asleep...

Aw, that sounded cool, though. I need to watch Amelie, I heard it's pretty crazy good.

I've never heard of them, are they not that good?

I've seen Amelie and it is really good. Les Diaboliques is a good one to check out, too. It's from 1956 and the guy who directed it is like the French version of Hitchcock. I've heard Les Enfants du paradis is great, but every time it comes on TV I miss it. I really need to start watching less indie films and start watching more foreign films...

Audio Adrenaline is pretty good, but they're Christian punk, so they're just very loud.

Oh yeah, I've heard of that one, I think they showed it in French Club once. Haha, indie films sound cool, though I can't say for sure if I've ever seen one, and yeah, I hardly ever watch foreign films either. Most of the foreign films I know/have heard of are French because we watched them in French class. Valerie's Week of Wonders sounds cool though, and I know it's from somewhere in Eastern Europe...
