1) I went to school forty minutes early today for nothing. God, it was so annoying. I needed to make up a test, and one of the teachers (since the class is co-taught) wasn't there this morning, and she also forgot to give the other teacher these papers and stuff that you couldn't take the test without, and that's two weeks now that I've been studying, and all of it so far for nothing. By the time I finally take that test, I bet the details of the Congress of Vienna and everything following it will be imprinted in my brain forever. On the bright side, though, the art for that section was Impressionism (since we learn about history and also the art corresponding to that period in time), which is probably my favorite art movement. Wow. I totally bet I wasted three minutes of your life there.
2) The irony parade continues. The one guy I've ever genuinely wanted to ask out is gay. God. All the brains and stuff that makes the world nice that were missing from every other Jacob I've met has been compressed and put inside that single, solitary Jacob, and I can't have it. Thanks [insert name of deity of your choice here].
3) We finished watching an awesome movie in French today, Mon Meilleur Ami. It was really good. I loved it so very much during the part with the quote from The Little Prince, where the fox says, 'If you tame me, we will need each other. I will be unique to you, and you will be unique to me.' And Francois recites that to Bruno over the phone, on television, too...God, I was starting to cry there. Now I want to watch the movie French II is seeing, Monsieur Hire, too. I need a week of doing nothing but watch movies.
4) Spring Break starts the day after tomorrow! Five days of feverish, hysterical scriptwriting, here I come!
5) The Decemberists' Hazards of Love is really reminding me of In the Aeroplane Over the Sea in how it was recorded like one huge continuous song. I'm depressed because they're not stopping anywhere remotely near where I live for the summer. But in a way, it's a relief since we'll be gone for the whole month of July, in China, anyway. But then again, I don't know when they'll be stopping here, or even if they'll be stopping in Tucson at all. It's usually Phoenix, and if it is Phoenix, it will be hopeless. I just can't freaking win, can I? And to make it worse, I have decided that they absolutely must be the band to steal my concert virginity! Nope, I've never been to a concert...
