I had to get up to close the blind at 3.30am because it was so light in my room. WTF England.

I KNOW, RIGHT? It's insane. I do not understand this, I swear I haven't had this problem before.

Plus it was warm enough to wear sandals IN MARCH. I think it's a sign of the coming apocalypse.

If you're able to weal sandals, in March, in England? Most definitely. It's probably going to snow for the duration of August.

Whyyy so bright?! That's seriously ridiculous!

Also, I get annoyed when people think House has turned to shit. Yeah, it's different and yeah I kinda did like the earlier seasons a little more, but the show is still fantastic and it always catches me off guard.

I'm curious to see how the premiere goes. I, personally, am not a huge fan of House premieres to begin with. I'm a finale girl all the way. However, we'll see if this one keeps me really interested.

I know, thank you! It was like daytime and I hadn't even gone to sleep! D:

Oh, seriously. It bothers me to no end. Especially since I've been watching the earlier seasons lately and am failing to see this apparently drastic plummet in quality. There are definite differences but honestly I wouldn't change the level of development that the characters have had by now for who they used to be and for more procedural elements. It's pretty amazing how much the characters have developed (and not changed), I think.

Definitely curious, it sounds rather unique. It could be completely fascinating or kind of dull. They do tend to have pretty muted premieres, though. I tend to much prefer the finales.

Seriously, it's insane. It's not much lighter out now than when I went to sleep, lol. It getting light so early is probably why I've been waking up at stupid times. Last night explained a lot ;)

aww that's disappointing about Cuddy not being in the premiere, ngl, but I'm sure it'll make sense when we actually see the episode. Not looking forward to the overzealous House/Wilson reactions.

omg new Ingrid Michaelson and AFF. BRING IT. I adore Turn To Stone, for some reason I resent when songs I love are used in a show, idk I don't like it being associated with a scene or whatever, lol it's ridiculous but my brain doesn't make sense.

I'm sure it'll work, I'm just curious as to how they're filling a whole two hours with exploration of House's time in Mayfield. It sounds pretty heavy... Though it's apparently going to be set over a long time, so that should break it up and will probably mean that he'll be back at PPTH in the second episode. Idk.

Lol, no I kinda hate that too. I mean, with some shows and songs I like that it reminds me of them. Like I discovered a lot of songs I love through House. But I hate when I like a song independent of it being used in something and it's got that association. Idk. Like, I don't watch Grey's and a ton of songs I love have been in it and people assume that's how i know them. Umm, no.

I hope not all of it is depressing and that Ausiello was at least partly right, ah I'm getting so curious and excited talking about it. You think he'll be back as soon as the second episode? that would be great.

lol exactly! this makes me feel more sane.

I think there was some speculation that he won't go back for a few eps, and we get at least one episode of the team trying to function without them - something Hugh saying about removing the cog or somesuch.

The obnoxiousness has already started. I love how suddenly an episode where a) almost all of the cast are absent b) it isn't set in PPTH and c) House has gone round the bend is "the show getting back to exactly how it used to be"

O RLY?

I have to say though, that dramatically and artistically it sounds as interesting as all get out. Maybe they can replay the hallucination fragments so that technically Cuddy *does* appear? I just want LE to be the top supporting person and be in every ep somehow.

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD I LOL'D. SERIOUSLY. That is magnificent. Yeah, they took away everything that defined the show in the beginning - the vicodin, 75% of the cast, the medicine and the setting and BAM, we're back where we -- OH, WAIT. I don't get why people are so eager to go back to how it used to be, anyway. YAY THE PROCEDURAL ELEMENT WAS MORE FOCUSED ON! The characters still weren't fully drawn or in any way rounded and their relationships with one another were actually kind of two dimensional, but by all means let's essentially have a variation on the pilot every week. I've been watching it from the beginning and it was brilliant, but IT STILL IS and I will never understand the shit they get. House/Wilson =/= Be All And End All ( ... )

Plus, doesn't every other procedural show end up getting slated for sticking to the format? (helloooo CSI: Wherevers) I don't see why people have to freak at change, but I guess there's a long history of people denying the concept of evolution.

It's just, would it really still be fresh to just have them sitting around cracking one-liners while we all pretend that House isn't going to solve the case after three failed guesses, somewhere around the 52-minute mark? Of course they need to put other elements in or that is going to become as stale as the rolls in my work canteen.

I just love Lisa and think she improves everything just by being there. So please be bluffing Ausiello.

EXACTLY. I wouldn't be half as into this show now if the past 5 years had been the first season five times over. Like you said, it would have gotten very, very stale. They sacrificed some of the screentime they used to give to patients. BFD. I don't need to see them perform the same procedures week after week. I've seen them to their thing with a Laryngoscope enough, thanks. We get it, they're doctors. Hearing what went down is sufficient at this point.

I guess there's a long history of people denying the concept of evolution.
LOL
