My ass is magnetic now

→ Since I do basically nothing with my time, I am relying on interweb/fandom happenings for things to update about. TODAY THERE WERE SOME! And it's not even midday. So you get an update, for which I am sure you're all extremely grateful.

→ House cast at Paley! And by "House cast" I mean less than half of them. By which I mean the people I care about most. Plus Omar. Lisa looked typically beautiful, Hugh got rid of the beard (not for the show afterall, then. Wth, Hugh) and Robert looked like he was sitting at home reading a book or something, and they called him like half an hour before the event and he was (grudgingly, of course) like "fine, whatever, I was going to finish my book but if you insist. I will grace the public with my presence" and just turned up in what he was wearing. Maybe he changed into the shirt.

And obviously I hugely enjoyed this;
Hugh on what it was like to make out with Lisa: "There's a bunch of people around with cameras... if you were trying to seduce someone you wouldn't set that up as a romantic aid. It's unnatural, it's a strange, peculiar situation and yet the blessing of it is that everyone can acknowledge that. It's not as if you're alone finding, 'I find this a little odd!' Of course it's odd!" Lisa fires back: "If someone was trying to seduce me, yes I would have them set up cameras."

LMAO. I heart them. I hope some pictures of the actual thing show up. And some videos. I did see a picture of Lisa talking to an interviewer with a TV Guide mic, so there should be something.

I also enjoyed the talk about the House/Cuddy origins, but it's nothing I haven't heard 847653 times before. I love that people are acting like it's vindication when it's been said before. House/Cam people didn't listen before and they won't now. David Shore saying that something is so apparently isn't sufficient, lol. It's not like they'll read that quote and think "oh my GOD, so it HAS been there all along and my personal preferences don't void that!" they will instead think "oh my GOD, it totally wasn't and he's lying because Lisa is threatening to physically harm him if he doesn't say that it was".

→ The Ausiello "spoiler". Okay, I am just as distressed as the next person that Cuddy is not in the premiere. Largely because she was the only supporting character who had appeared in every episode to date and now none of them will have. Fail. Also I am obviously sad that after the mighty summer hiatus we get a two hour premiere with no characters other than House or Wilson. That's gonna burn a little and I'm not sure I relish the thought of two hours of House and Wilson... Or how smug people are going to get over this, because the sense of entitlement in this fandom is like no other in general, and when we get House/Wilson episodes? It's kind of off the charts obnoxious. Those episodes are apparently the golden standard but I actually find them largely boring and overrated. It just bugs that people whine about how shitty the show is now and then a House/Wilson episode comes along and OH MY GOD IT'S THE ABSOLUTE SHIT AGAIN. BUT. I am sure it will be interesting to delve further into House's mind and explore all that went on last season and how he's going to recover, I am looking forward to that. I'm sure it will focus more on House than anything anyway, as opposed to any of his relationships. All two of them. It actually makes sense to leave Cuddy out of the equation in terms of her actual presence because he obviously has a lot of shit to work out there, and her being there would probably complicate things enormously.

But sad as I am that we're getting a two hour episode and it's fuckin' sans Cuddy, I do recognise that this is because of my bias, and I am not about to freak out and whine about OH MY GOD, HOW DARE THEY LEAVE LISA OUT?! Please. Did people miss the part where she's the ONLY ONE who has been in every episode so far? And oh, the part where Omar, Olivia, Jennifer, Peter and Jesse aren't in it either? This isn't some cruel Lisa hating move on their part. It's a valid creative choice. That will burn. Deal with it. She says while rending her garments

→ Apparently Ingrid Michaelson and A Fine Frenzy have new albums coming out in August and September respectively. FUCK YEAH. I've been waiting for a new A Fine Frenzy album forever, and Ingrid's last wasn't really a full album. A couple were covers or live versions of existing songs, and Keep Breathing had been available forever. Though she's thrown out so many random songs in the past year that I wouldn't be surprised if this is a similar scenario. I just got the two that were apparently used in Greys. I LOVE Turn to Stone ♥

→ I had a whopping four hours of sleep last night. Which kinda blows, but it was the best 4 hours I've had in a long time. I'm adjusting to only needing that much now, which is probably not a good thing, lol. I went to sleep at 4.30am and I wasn't even that tired. But my eyes were sore and it was completely light out and fucking birds were singing. fishingvegas seemed skeptical about how light it was, SO I TOOK PICTURES;

3.30am...

4.30am. Seriously. It doesn't even look as bright as it was.

This illustrates nothing other than the fact that I evidently got bored and procrastinated going to sleep further by messing with the settings on mah camera and made pretty swirls and stuff. Hee.

This was taken, sans flash, in my room. With the curtains drawn. SERIOUSLY. And yes it's upside down because I took it looking up from laying in bed. I did flip it but it somehow looked unnatural. And yes, I have an empty box of Gushers stuck on my wall.

→ I am now going to get some crumpets and probably watch The Station Agent and make icons, yay. I. am. starving. And spent so long procrastinating when typing this that it is now 12.30pm.

flist: shane, spam: pics, ; ♥ lisa. either lisa, film: the station agent, ship: house/cuddy, my life: is boaring, ship: house/cameron, food: crumpets, fangirling: house cast omg, music: ingrid michaelson, music: a fine frenzy
