Oh oh, good morning. Today I have learned that the human body functions better on NO sleep than three hours. That'll teach me to go to sleep after awards ceremonies.

Mixed feelings, really. I should have seen more of the films that were nominated before last night, seriously.

Spoilers, I guess? )

SO I HAVE LEARNED D:

Me too. It has to be Cuddy related. House/Cuddy related, even. In much the same way that there was no WAY Joy to the World wasn't Cuddy/baby plot related.

YYY

She just shone, seriously. Every little thing about her was flawless and so beautifully put together. I'm pretty sure it's the best she's ever looked at one of these things.

TOTALLY AGREE. ♥ ♥ ♥

And I am SO EXCITED for House to be back!

I was horrifically underwhelmed with Slumdog Millionaire. I think it stemmed from the fact that I was expecting this hugely epic masterpiece, and instead was met with a really good Bollywood flick with an awesome soundtrack and a mediocre love story. It was creative and fun, and deserved the writing award because it was definitely smart in that sense, but it completely lacked earnestness. When it was over, I was smiling, but I just felt... kind of yearning for more? IDK, I'm obviously in the minority, but I just didn't think it was as powerful as it could have been.

But Gemma, I can honestly tell you that you NEEEEEEEED to see The Wrestler. It absolutely, 100% isn't my kind of movie either, at least I didn't think it was, and my God, I was blown away. With Mickey Rourke, with Evan Rachel Wood, with Darren Aronofsky, with the music, with just about everything. It's just a little movie, but it's a powerhouse. I cried so hard I was gasping for air at some points. Maybe I identify with a lot of the family issues in it, but I was ( ... )

I wasn't too disappointed because I kept my expectations low when it came to what I love the most. Hugh not winning bummed me out, AND DAMN IT, GIVE HOUSE SOME RECOGNITION. Still, I was over-happy with Kate Winslet winning and the surprise of Anna Paquin winning was so lovely, plus 30 Rock-- that was wonderful. I just took that as a big plus, but it could've been better.

I think it seems like a lot of people weren't happy with best supporting actor in a drama, but idk.

(And I agree about House being best. And House should've won. It pains me that THAT finale didn't get what it deserved and more than that, you know? The end.)
