My glasses just broke. The left arm's been holding on by a thread, and now it's popped clean off. By "popped" I mean somehow a hinge broke in some weird way that doesn't even seem possible because the other arm doesn't even have a hinge or a joint there, so... what? I've managed to stick it back on with some scotch tape, and now I look ridiculous

you are wonderful and you are beautiful and you are perfect and i love you and i would be a hundred times more coherent if i didn't have to get up at a time that starts with a 7 (why is that a thing, no one should ever have to do that) and just remember that there are some very special people who also had to put up with broken glasses so you're not alone

Also, Ivy I know a place that has REALLY cheap glasses ( I know it doesn't really help since exams are so much) but if you can find the kind you need then zennioptical.com has really great, really cheap glasses. All you need to do is make sure you know your prescription. Seriously I buy glasses (not just frames--entire pairs of glasses) for like $10-20

I WILL LOOK INTO THIS. I'm not sure if they can do my ~special prism~ thing but it's worth a look. Maybe I can get a new eye exam from walmart and then order them online? Because I think walmart will still adjust them and stuff even if you didn't get the frames there. hmmmm.

WHY IS THAT A THING. 7 is a time for sleeping. It is a theoretical time we should know exists only because logic dictates it and not because we've ever actually seen it.

That all spiraled down from your glasses breaking. So let's say your writing is great and your face is beautiful and do something about the glasses part.

I volunteered in a school clinic for a bit and there are nurse organizations that help people out with things like glasses and shoes. There are also some free clinics around, so check around your area and see what options there are, if you haven't already. I can't guarantee you'll get your dream glasses, but I have taken a couple kids back into the storeroom and let them pick out shoes they actually liked, so.

If you can figure the glasses part out and get something nice, maybe you'll feel better about yourself, right?

I'm going to have to look into this. I never really think of these programs as being for me, I always think, like, I should be much more poor. But I'm going to have to see what's available.
