Things I feel like I'm missing out on by not bothering to check them out yet:

Pottermore is not open for members quite yet, unless you managed to win early entry (I DIIIIIID, AAAAAAAAAAH), so you're really not missing anything right at this moment. I'm not very far into it yet myself, I only got admission a few days ago, but the gist of it iS; a walkthrough of the books with pretty pretty pictures of the featured scenery that is SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE MOVIES and chunks of extra info that didn't make it into the books themselves. Kind of like a footnoted and illustrated "guide", like they tend to release for movies, you know? Oh, and a mini-game or two. And you get a wand! And you're sorted! There's not much interacting with other people going on though, it's all about adding new shiny bits of shininess to the story. I'm having a great time with that!
