Meanwhile, 'The Dog Days Are Over' is probably my Hunger Games song I actually seem to assign artists to fandoms, if that makes sense, so Florence and the Machine has a few songs that are Hunger Games-esque, but this is the one I most relate to the series. And I hit it on random shuffle and now I'm re-reading the book series

I kind of think that the music has to do with discovery. I mean, I think of Black Jewels Trilogy when I listen to Vanessa Carlton because I bought the CD when I was reading the books. >_

Bahahaa, yeah I am kind of a sucker for those retellings. (And I just read a fairy tale gag doujinshi for Kuroshitsuji, so now I'm picturing Red Riding Hood with a chainsaw. It's kind of awesome.)

Same here. Fandom, when the movie gets to DVD, somebody had better make an epic fanvid to that song.
As for Red Riding Hood (which I am also looking forward to seeing) I read an interview with the director in BUST *drags it out* who when asked about the grandmother (played by 60 sex symbol Julie Christie) said that the grandmother is "going to be wild and into witchcraft and sexy and living out in the woods like a wild-child grandmother."
