brown paper packages tied up in string

I am glad to be able to reaffirm my strong belief that I truly am hopeless at origami. No, really. I kind of suck at it. I can't even fold a damn paper crane. I finally fished out the big book of origami I received for Christmas last year, opened up the sheaf of origami paper, and went at it. I have achieved a perfectly-folded samurai helmet, which ( Read more... )

LOL, I finally learned how to fold a paper crane by watching an animation I found on the internet. It's the only origami model I know by heart, I so want to learn the horse but I haven't quite been able to get it...

Dude, I already respect you for doing a crane. I'm pretty sure in a million years I will STILL not be ready to attempt the horse.

The horse may actually be easier than the crane, I just can't make head or tail of any of the youtube videos I've seen for it. XD

I'll see if I can find that crane tute I used if you want...

Dude, in the book I have, there are origami DINOSAURS that take like, fifty steps to fold. It's bonkers.

I'd love to learn origami, but I fear I'd lose hours just making little paper things. Maybe I'll youtube for something..

I think that if I COULD, I would definitely fill the house with those jars of paper stars and hang paper cranes everywhere. XD Maybe it's for the better.

My problem is I just watched youtube earlier today on how to make paper lilies and now I want to make roses and other flowers and turn them into actual floral arrangements in my apartment

See, that would be gorgeous. And I'd want to visit your house FOREVER.

Oh God, I feel your pain with origami. It doesn't love me at all. My sister can make paper cranes out of anything under the sun (she used to make armies of cranes out of our halloween candy wrappers) but all I can make is the stupid "puppy face" I learned in 3rd grade (triangle with folded ears).

Also, which book did you buy? *excited*

I bought The Broken Kingdoms, a continuation of Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, which is a book I pretty much devoured. I think I wrote about it here, and if not, I definitely babbled about it at length IRL. XD
