I am glad to be able to reaffirm my strong belief that I truly am hopeless at origami. No, really. I kind of suck at it. I can't even fold a damn paper crane. I finally fished out the big book of origami I received for Christmas last year, opened up the sheaf of origami paper, and went at it. I have achieved a perfectly-folded samurai helmet, which is pretty much a fancy paper hat. I attempted a kimono (paper wasn't the right size,) a crane, (got lost in the step in which you unfold a part and open it up), a lunch bag (fuck, I don't know what went wrong there,) and something with a name I forget. I require more paper and a stronger will.
BUT. On the positive side, I discovered an unknown gift card to Barnes and Noble hidden in the paper. Apparently my aunt slipped it in there on the assumption that I would happily make origami right away. I'm glad to be finding it now, since my life recently has been quite dismal. I bought a book with it already!
