never forget the dragons

So, it's been a fairly good week for issues, but instead of posting and raging over them, I've just done my raging privately and focused on my latest writing project. I'm very glad that I'm an artistic/creative person, because I have no idea what I would do with myself if I had no outlet for all of this. Although I wonder if high emotions and the ( Read more... )

Honestly, one of the best and most poignant mottos I've ever heard. Children are amazing for that, I find <3

Sorry for issues :( Hooray for outlets though!

Yeah, kids really do say the darndest things. I kind of want a t-shirt of that saying now.

And outlets are fun!

I think I love that. Never forget the dragons. I know I have a mild case of Peter Pan syndrome too. I always have. As soon as I was twelve, I knew I didn't want to grow up. Man, was I right.

Sorry you've been having issues, but yes, it's great you have an outlet.

Yeah, throughout my whole life I've had this inkling that growing up is probably the worst thing that happens to people, and I was right. I can stay up as long as I want and go out wherever I want within certain parameters and even eat an entire giant chocolate bar all in one go. BUT. There's also shit like work and taxes and payments. Ugh.

"But you never forget the dragons."

That needs to be a bumper sticker. I love all the very true very funny but very wise things kids say sometimes.

It DOES need to be a bumper sticker. Or at least a t-shirt. Kids are full of awesome sayings.

I know it's not your intention, but now I feel slightly bad for posting about my own issues instead of dealing in private with them...

I like the saying though, 'never forget the dragons.'

Noooo! *hugs* Honestly, the main reason I haven't posted anything about issues is because it would take way too much effort.

Yeah *hugs* I didn't think that you meant to do that, I just get feelings of guilt easily. :P

I wonder if high emotions and the more passionate mindset are connected to creativity. Do you think so? I have to say it's there and it's not. Being rather emotional might need an outlet and there for lead to creativity and if you're creativity you need to get more in touch with your emotions. It seems like some good painters really draw on emotional stuff too. On the other hand, more commercial artists have to focus on working past their emotions. I guess take all of that as you will ( ... )

I can only play with toys in company, I think. Fortunately, I work at a daycare, and have a nephew who loves legos.
