if you're born a lion, don't bother trying to act tame

Have been neglecting the internet to read, plan to do so in the future as well. I'm almost finished with 'Alias, Grace', and will commence 'The Blood of Flowers' shortly afterward. Although, some of the novels I've purchased will take more reading time than others. I take longer to read more thoughtful works, and it just takes me longer to get ( Read more... )

I had to read Alias Grace for English Lit in grade eleven. It was actually surprisingly good; some of the descriptions were a bit much for me, though. What's The Blood of Flowers about?

As for the meme!
Avatar: The Last Airbender, Mai/Jet. It'd be a little tragic, with lots of wit and maybe some sexual tension. It'd be an AU from the series, obviously, but it could be anything from an adventure where Jet tries to take on Azula to a chance meeting between them. Idk, I'm just on a Mai pairing frenzy these days. And that way nothing interfers with Katara/Zuko. ;D

I'll try to start from the bottom and work my up to a fandom:
Kink: Banter-kink! :D Love it, love it. Witticism gets me every time.
Plot Elements: Unexpected little turns. I'm tired of being able to predict the flow. I'm not even an English major, a writer, or (unfortunately) an avid reader anymore. (At least not as much.) But somehow, I keep predicting things.

Some levity and some angst, to balance each other out so they don't become tiresome. Some drama, some slow periods, for the same reason. Depending on the fandom: violence (*cough*TMNT*cough*), heavy politics (GW, sometimes TMNT), psychological drama/trauma (GW, TMNT)

Are those plot elements? I'm not sure.
Genre: Hrm. I guess general drama, seconded by comedy.
Characters/pairing: Sheesh. I ( ... )
