Well, I'm back from Belgium and getting over my jet lag. I think my brain will be half-dead all day. Fortunately, (or not?) I managed to fall asleep at around eight, and STAY in that comatose state until around five in the morning. And then I slept some more until it became eight in the morning. HA. TAKE THAT, JET LAG. I might just beat this thing ( Read more... )

I know I said I'd refrain from this until I watched the whole show, but... now that I've been favoriting related pics on devart, I can't unsee it.

Azula/Ty Lee plz? (Or Azula/Ty/Mai?) I have some ideas for fics of my own... and I haven't written fic in eons. WTF? Maybe this fuckery will actually prompt me to write fic for the first time in years??

(I think I've started to like Azula more and more when I compare her to Tomoe in my head.)

It's easy to be jealous of Azula, she thinks. She's beautiful, of course: entirely the perfect example of a Fire Nation woman. Firebender golden eyes that slant without being too narrow, porcelain-pale skin, and delicate features.

Ty Lee's face is too round, eyes too large and grey (a color fallen out of favor since the death of the airbenders) and her body is the only thing she has going for her, really. Even then, it's only the thrill of the exotic that keeps the boys coming, a Fire Nation woman is meant to be slim and slight. Ty Lee is round and curved, like a water savage, buxom and wide-hipped.

Even so, it's Azula the perfect, confident prodigy who comes to her, and it's Ty Lee, the odd one out of a matched set of siblings who gets to share the princess's bed. It's Ty Lee who makes her pant, who touches her in intimate ways no one else has the privilege to ( ... )

It's interesting that you had Ty be in sort of a position of power... I suppose I haven't really seen enough of the series to figure them out, but from what I've seen of them so far, Azula seems to keep everyone on a pretty tight leash and gets her way at any cost, even with those who are supposed to be her friends.

I guess it's hard for me to see any sort of humanity in her at this point, but perhaps I'm not supposed to at this point in the series. I have hopes for future episodes.

Here I am as promised! :D Now that LJ's workin' for me again.

1. Shikamaru/Temari (Prompts: Sand, hands, after)

This one's mainly for the Temari actually. It suddenly struck me that I've never seen you write Temari and this is simply unacceptable because your Temari is probably awesome. :D

2. Jet/Longshot (Prompts: Conversation, night, still)

This one came from nowhere, I know. XD

Temari is a master of emotional control. She is also a master of tactical strategy, which comes in excellent handy when she is trying, with all the ninja skills in subtlety she has learned, to seduce Shikamaru. This is difficult, because he is not very receptive to the Konoha form of courting, which, she is told, involves weeks of innuendo and casual touches. She wishes the men here were like the people of the Sand, who will happily accept any demands from her, especially when it results in the eldest sibling of the Kazekage in bed with them. Konoha men, she decides, are far too fragile and emotional ( ... )

AIM was evil and kicked me out last night before I could erect shrines to your writing. But don't worry- they're being built now. :D

I knew I'd be right about your Temari. She WAS the awesome. If they ever got together in canon, I've always pictured her to be the one who'd initiate the relationship and this drabble followed that design to a tee.

Very strong-willed, but she makes her moves in this game by the Konoha rules. Strategy is one of my favorite aspects in this pairing and to see it here is love. Especially with the Shikamaru response, which was so damn appropriate it made me giggle.

And the last line was lovely. :3

It can get very quiet at night.

No one patrols in the late hours, really. They have perimeter guards set out, but for all intents and purposes, the camp goes dead at night. It's mainly populated by children, after all, and they need their rest to be effective soldiers in the morning. They sleep fitfully, most of them, writhing in the throes of personal nightmares. These are children orphaned by Fire Nation raids, and their pain follows them into dreams.

Jet finds Longshot sitting up by The Duke, holding the kid's oversized helment and watching him toss and turn. He looks up as Jet comes near, his expression as deadpan as usual. Longshot is a cypher to most people, but by now Jet knows what he means. There's so much to be read in just a look.

"You're not going to do him any good just sitting there," Jet says quietly, kneeling down by the kid. "Your shift's been over for a while now. Why don't you sleep?"

How could I? Longshot's eyebrow seems to say, raised slightly, mouth quirking imperceptibly downward ( ... )
