I think the "strong man" thing is more "I need someone who will stand by me. Who is tough enough to handle what's going to happen" than physically strong. But it is kinda hard to judge. Looks really interesting though.

I hope that's the meaning, as well, but then we have the guy saying: "I like a woman who needs someone to rely on." Then again, that could be a reason he left her: because he wasn't in control or the stronger one in the relationship.
