I was skimming around the internet yesterday when I found this:
AND IMMEDIATELY FELL IN LOVE. ART love. Watching this is like watching porn for the artist's eyes. I love how they animate the flowing fabric, the movement of her hair, her expressions. The fight scenes are so graceful and gorgeous! I love the style and character designs, especially the yin yang hair on the main character!
Alright... so, while I absolutely adore the animation and style of this anime, and the female character with yin-yang hair looks hella awesome, but I do not like the way her relationship with the guy looks to be. I know I can't judge all that much by the short clips we are shown, but her saying she wants 'a strong man to protect her' when she's this markedly badass is kind of off-putting. Maybe she means it in a different way, or maybe the film is just being visually ironic by mentioning it? Either way, I will probably watch this if/when it comes out, just for the art. And the sheer insanity of the plot.
