End of Egypt unit. I brought in two teddy bears for the kids to mummify: one they named Queen Neferbear, and the other King Tut. After I read to them about the mummification process, they went on their merry ways 'washing the body', 'removing' bear organs, dipping the bear in salt, wrapping it in paper towel bandages, anointing it with actual ( Read more... )

Holy crap, that sounds like the best unit evar.

I'm several pages into 'Yankee-kun to Megane-chan' and not too impressed yet. The only thing I larfed at was "Gos Burger" instead of Mos Burger.

Well, DAMN. Another nonexistant fandom to add to the pile. T_T

I think one of my favorite 'protect her desires' scenes is where he's surrounded by the bad guys and tells her 'it's okay, I've got it!", and she replies by going: "okay," and LEAVING. XD Thus causing hilarity and not giving her the role of cheerleader for the fight scene. And then she comes and helps him out at the end.

I have a fond spot for blunt, unsympathetic, tactless anime women. (Tactless without being horribly abrasive, that is.) They're fairly rare, so when I see one, I'm on it like white on rice.
