Yeah, Brainiac is a tricksy fella. One day that beautiful bda will learn.

I think that Chloe's love for Clark is what kept the memories of Clark lasting longer than any of her other memories. I can't see how anyone can think that she 'loves' Jimmy more than Clark. I do think Chloe cares for Jimmy, but she's making the same mistake Clark did with Lana. Wanting something 'normal'.

I too loved that he told her he'd never leave her... but was ahhhhhhh when Brainiac ripped him away. *sniff*

Reading your thoughts on this episode made me so so happy and I'm so glad you posted them. So much has been said about this episode and so much argued even to the extent that because he didn't tell Chloe his secret himself, it was simply a matter of him being given the chance to make that choice now ( ... )

I'm just starting to read others reactions to it, and I have to say, I'm a bit surprised by the negativity. I'm starting to feel like the lone Chlarker who loved it and maybe I missed something. Yikes!

Okay, this confuses me. People think that Clark didn't tell Chloe his secret? Clark did tell Chloe his secret. Alicia only showed Chloe that Clark had 'abilities' and while it would have been nice for him to have shared that with her first, Clark could have let Chloe think he was just a MF and not tell her about him really being an alien. So from my pov Clark did tell Chloe his 'secret ( ... )

I am so glad that you enjoyed the episode too. I was worried about how my Chlark friends would react. Like you, I saw the writers paying a lot of respect to the relationship. That young Chlark scene was just so sweet: we heard Clark's POV on it in Obscura and now see Chloe's. Easy to understand why they both became BFF. Clark's decision, however ill considered it may be, was absolutely made out of love.

I did enjoy it and I really appreciate that the writers didn't screw up the Chlarky moments that Chlarkers care about. (They will never be forgiven for messing with the Fever letter, though, no matter what they do! *grr*) I'm starting to read over others reactions to the eppy and I'm a bit confused to being in the minority in liking it. Clark taking away Chloe's memories was wrong on many different levels, but I totally understand why he did. And I just can't see it sticking.
