Weekend update

I enjoyed seeing P this weekend. We had a lovely time, and although I would have braved the Saturday crowds to see the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin, the timing of things and his own preferences kept us in Virginia (where we did manage to catch a few Yoshino trees in bloom nonetheless).

The Friday-night concert was a complete joy.

The blossoms were a bit shy - I took a trip down to see them with a friend who was in town and they were in short supply (although I'm certain they'll be gorgeous come next weekend). What was great was the kite festival on The Mall, so many children involved - just a joy to behold!

It would have been fun anyway, I'm sure. I had it in mind to catch the kite festival, too, but no such luck. Maybe next year. I'm glad you went and enjoyed it!

I really like "Mrs Henderson Presents" as well. I'm also a big "As Time goes by" fan. Dame Judi Dench has aged beautifully and the two characters she has played in these 2 shows are wonderful role models for aging as well.
