I have fixed things (i.e., my work schedule) so that my commute is reasonable by Washington standards. Some days I can even get from home (in Tysons Corner) to my office downtown in a mere 20 minutes. Usually it's 25 to 30 minutes, 35 max. on a high-volume day. Today? 65! I believe that is the record. I enjoyed seeing P this weekend. We had a lovely time, and although I would have braved the Saturday crowds to see the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin, the timing of things and his own preferences kept us in Virginia (where we did manage to catch a few Yoshino trees in bloom nonetheless).
