i got a new job today! from now on i am an official employee of The Silver Tureen. between now and graduation i'll be doing catering events and a little waitressing, and during the summer it will be weddings every weekend and waitressing lunch and dinner shifts. i'm pretty pleased about it. josh and his mom work there, and the owners seem really ( Read more... )

its a nice restaurant but my brother worked for them and they fired him without two weeks notice and with absolutely no reason. he was their only waiter and did really really excellent work for them. they fucked up his checks and shortchanged him, and then fired him the day after christmas.

not to diminish your excitement, just to give you a heads up. but that is excellent, and its a well paying job, especially the catering! good work my dear.

oh dear. i'll have to be careful, though maybe it's okay now since two of my friends have worked there for a long time and they like it. we'll see. thanks for the warning though, and i hope you're doing well!

Yeah, learning to waitress is useful. You can pretty much always do that. Whatever.
