i got a new job today! from now on i am an official employee of The Silver Tureen. between now and graduation i'll be doing catering events and a little waitressing, and during the summer it will be weddings every weekend and waitressing lunch and dinner shifts. i'm pretty pleased about it. josh and his mom work there, and the owners seem really cool. and hey...catering weddings will be kind of cool because the silver tureen is expensive, so the weddings will probably have money and be in these gorgeous places.
and the menu is crazy. stuff like burst of camembert baked in phyllo with a kiss of apricot chutney, or grilled new zealand lamb chops with rosemary and garlic, or pan seared sea scallops with spring pea puree.
it's cool. it'll definitely be good to get food experience so that when i'm living in the city and i'm broke living off my art...well you know how it is. :)
