Right now, me and my black eye are going to go and take a long hot bath and shave my legs.

That's hot.

I'm considering candles, a glass of wine and some sultry jazz music also.

Man, that's sounds awesome. Add in some dark chocolate and I'd be up there.

*hugs* Dude, you have been in the wars, but I appreciate the cheerful attitude and sunshine. Fingers crossed that you get some compensation from the Netball stuff.

The HECS/HELP thing I can help with - if you apply for a commonwealth supported place, then it is eligible for HECS/HELP. Unfortunately, most postgraduate degrees are not commonwealth supported, so it really depends on the institution. From the looks of it, the Masters from QUT isn't commonwealth supported - if it was, it would have CSP in front of it when it lists the domestic fees.

I have no idea about the correspondence ones, or if the Grad Certificate/Grad Diploma will be commonwealth supported or not. I think there is an assumption that if you are getting your Masters, you have money, which might not filter down to those qualifications.

I need to shave my legs. September is approaching.

I was talking to Mum, apparently with my GPA (I think I left with like a 5.34 GPA or so, maybe a bit higher if its just for my Major and not my overall GPA) there'd probably be scholarships/assistance or something available, but I got no idea how I'd go about getting one. I cannot afford the $12-21K off the bat I'd need to do the Masters, not unless I got some sort of loan, which would make studying a bit more difficult as I'd need to be working at the same time.

This is one of the Grad Dips that looks worthwhile. I could even consider taking a trip out to Perth, you know, cos :D.

It's sort of satisfying, shaving. I am stroking my legs going "mmmm smoooooooth"

Yeah, reference librarianship sits very nicely between teaching and hiding away in the stacks, I feel!

I love that little visual, hiding in the aerospace section, scampering towards Russian philosophy if you hear someone coming.

*Blacked out at the Gym on Tuesday due to low blood sugar (pretty sure, anyway)
Oh no! Hope you are okay. As a fainter, myself, I know how scary blacking out in public can be. My personal best was on the subway platform very near the tracks.

I was okay as soon as I had something to eat. It was most scary because it's never happened to me before and so I had no idea what'd happened or why.

I hope you're okay, though! Subway platform!

Yah, the subway platform was one of my more dramatic faintings. My first was in a choir performance at school when I was about 14. I've always been afraid that I'm going to pass out on the elliptical machine at the gym though. I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself.
