So this past week has been kinda shitty, but despite the shitty I'm not feeling too bad. Just weary... Lets go through it in points.
*Blacked out at the Gym on Tuesday due to low blood sugar (pretty sure, anyway)
*Hung Parliment (though maybe that's not so bad-- I can see the benefits of having this situation, but I'd be much happier with a resolution)
*Car Rego and Insurance due.
*Broke my glasses at Netball last night, found out this morning that they're beyond repair so need to get a new pair.
*Also discovered this morning that my glasses were over-correcting my eyes and that I have hayfever bad enough to make contacts not a realistic option.
*Also developed a blackish eye (the bruise is growing throughout the day) probably because of the netball-to-the-face that broke the glasses.
But it could be worse. The replacement glasses I'm getting are actually fairly inexpensive, and they look nice, and I have to email the Netball co-ordinator to let her know what happened. I know they have insurance to cover physiotherapy for injuries sustained on the court, perhaps I might be able to get some recompense for this also.
I've also been looking into post graduate study. I'm fairly sure I want to go the Librarian route. (Helps the new glasses are totally librarian-chiq) Teaching is fun and all, but I feel like if I go down that road, I'll save it for a career I can do later in life. I'm just not sure exactly how the post-grad thing will work money wise. For those doing them: Are they elligible for HECS/HELP? The website is ridiculous to try and figure that out for myself.
The two course options I have are either I do a Masters in Information Technology (Library and Information Science) at QUT which is the only post-grad level course any university in QLD offers, or I do a course via correspondence. I have more options that way, from Grad Certificate to Graduate Diploma to Masters. and if I did it via correspondence I'd in theory have a bit more time to work and keep myself afloat-- maybe I'd even be able to move out of home while studying.
This post feels rather scatterbrained. I maybe should've divided it into two, but I think it's good enough I thought to post anything at all.
Right now, me and my black eye are going to go and take a long hot bath and shave my legs.
