That was the name of the panel on professionally published books containing gay relationships at Bitchin' Con.  I found it astonishing for the fact that I am a prolific reader in the genre but not one of my favorite authors was mentioned. It is good to see that I'm not the only one who didn't recognize most/any of the authors or stories listed. My problem is that I have had a hard time finding any that I like. I blame this mostly on bad luck as I didn't have anyone to give me recs and my choices have been real hit or miss. A few misses when you are paying for it and suddenly you are not so quick to try new things ( ... )

Exactly. I'm reading one just like that now. No characterization and very little plot, but they have sex every chapter. I want sex scenes that enhance and further the plot, not that are the whole book!

Yes! Read the Josh Lanyon books. I think you'll love them.

Read what you like, and don't worry if it's "cool" or not. All of the authors you mentioned are well-established, so you're not the only one enjoying their works!
