Archie was out, walking Pongo while Claire left the message on his voicemail. Life was something to be enjoyed these days, especially now that most people knew about him and Claire. For the first time in however long he could remember, he was genuinely happy.

And then he saw the strange car. Like most people in town, he knew every car, every little thing by sight, so a strange car immediately stood out. He paused, wondering about it. Was it one of the people looking for Claire, or someone else. Taking a deep breath, he walked past the car, hoping to get some indication of who the stranger was.

Noah hadn't quite gone into the diner yet, not when he caught sight of a man walking a dog. No, he didn't know who he was yet but he recognized that look of caution and that gave him a moment's pause.

Waiting till the man got closer, he stepped out with a small smile. "Hello, can you help me?"

Archie put his hand on Pongo's head, as the dog wasn't exactly pleased to see a stranger, and Pongo obediently sat. "I can try," he said with a smile to the other man. No need to be impolite, after all.
