Another sleepless night (for powered_otaku)

Claire was having another one of those nights where her mind was a little too busy and she knew that sleep was going to be impossible in the long run.  She didn't know if Hiro was at his apartment but she was going to figure that he was.  After cleaning up a bit, making sure that the cat had food and water, she slipped out.  She took the scooter,

*Hiro comes out of the kitchen, carrying a cupcake and a dog biscuit.*

"Hey," he says. "Cupcake?" He holds it out to her.

She smiles a little, relieved to see that he wasn't asleep yet. "Hey." She murmurs, straightening to her feet before moving to greet him with a soft kiss and then another to linger before pulling back. "Thank you." She takes the cupcake.

Hiro gives Kuma the dog biscuit, holds up his finger and heads back into the kitchen for another cupcake. He sits on the couch and holds out his arms so she can sit in his lap. "Are they home yet?"

As he sits down and holds out his arms, she moves to sit on his lap with a little smile before shaking her head, "Not yet." She leans against him, "It's weird being in the townhouse now, I'm used to them being around."
