I have a friend who refuses to believe there are that many things JKR said she would address in this final book that she did not. Is there an actual list anywhere, making direct comparisons? If not, then just the list of what she promised for this book will do. Does anybody know where I could find this? Thanks.

I would disagree that JKR actually promised or declared she would definitely address in book 7.

She tends to give very vague answers to questions anyway, and she's said she is senstive to her readers' feelings.

If asked about what Dudley saw with the Dementors, she might be thinking "Oh my god why would you even ask such an irrelevant, mundane question, it's just Dudley who CARES, I never even considered it) but she'd say something mysterious and vague and polite like "ohhhh, that may come up later."

And call me a blasphemer, but I do not believe for one second that JKR had every freaking detail of the story mapped out for over a decade so it would all fit together perfectly. Several of the easter eggs on her site contain rough drafts and discarded excerpts, which clearly show that she had some very different ideas than what eventually ended up in the books.

Meaning (to me anyway) that if she said something would come up in a later book, she may have been referring to her current thoughts, which simply changed a year or two

Thank you for the insight, but I want the information for a particular point I am trying to make that isn't any of that, as true as it might be.
