[Dist bristles, again, huffing. He knows what the experiment entails as well - it gives you what you desire most, and that was his best friend. He wanted that snake to just come back and stay here again, for more than just a few weeks.]

Very weird. In fact, it stuns Dist into absolute silence for a good few moments. The fact that it was Anise's voice as well as that he's considered a friend by the true person inside, a person who he himself tried to kidnap several times. It was boggling to hear, and, well...humbling.
