Caught Up

Mar 03, 2008 09:33

We're now caught up on Torchwood, Moonlight, Atlantis, and we finally saw Being Human. I'm still working on catching up with Friday Night Lights. And I'm woefully behind on Holby City, months and months, actually.

I think the only reason Gwen was handing out assignments at that meeting was because they wanted to give the actress/character lines. There was nothing significant for her to do this week and the writer didn't come up with any meaningful interaction between her and Owen. It sounded as though the lines were originally Jack's.

You may have something there. I hadn't thought of it from that angle, only that it stood out for me as I was watching and wondered about it.

Let's talk Tv - Whoo hoo - My 2 cents for what its worth
Torchwood - I was about to give up on this show when season 2 got me reinvested. I too, totally hated Owen and Gwen in season one. Now both are Okay and getting better. Martha rocks!

Moonlight - I did't mind the dumping of Joe(? can't even remember boyfriend's name) because I thought it was well done but now what is to keep our stars apart. Liked the chemical twist - totally called it in the one Moonlight fic I wrote.

Altantis - Never was a Carson fan so i didn't cry when he died. Sorry. I actually liked how they brought him back and tied in everything that Micheal was doing.

It just seems killing him off is the easy way around. If you did it in fanfic, you'd be stomped on [g]

Very true. I didn't like that they killed him from the stand point that he was a very real reason Mick and Beth were apart but the charater was a dud - so at least he went out with a bang

The temp mortal treatment was pretty cool, and makes me think they've been reading my FK fic -- J/K
we wonder about this in the Supernatural fandom... maybe the ML guys look for FK fics? heeee! :D

I just knew Beth was going to ask Mick to bring him over, just like Nat asking Nick to bring her brother across. Though Mick actually stuck to his guns, unlike Nick.

i find it intersting that Nick was able to bring Richard (right?) across, when mostly every other time he always took too much blood.... huh.

Mick doesn't want to curse anyone else with being a vamp, but he can bite me anytime... ;)

I never thought I'd say that I like Owen, but I do now!

Yay! Er, I've always been an Owen fan so as much as I may not like his current storyline I'm happy it's making some people appreciate him more.

But 'Ianto like' still needs work.

*Nods.* They still haven't "hooked" me on Ianto, but I did enjoy his asking Owen if he was going to let himself be beat.

But I'm rather disappointed they decided to off the 'inconvenient boyfriend'.

I always figured that was their plan for him. I'm disappointed the Writers' Strike threw off the schedule so I'll never know if he was actually suppose to die during November sweeps like someone else thought he was. I was guessing it'd be February or May.

I was more upset this time than the first time!

*Winces.* I'm sorry to hear that, though it makes me glad I missed the episode. I really liked the character.

Just once, I'd like an SF show to resist the urge!

John and Aeryn had a healthy baby boy they named after D'Argo on Farscape? *Bats eyelashes innocently.*

And the werewolf was perfect ( ... )
