T'is the Season

I adored Karen Carpenter when I was a little girl. When I listen to her sing now, her voice is still one of the loveliest I've heard, but the memories are bittersweet.

'Little Altar Boy' has me in tears. Little altar boy, I wonder could you pray for me. Could you tell the Lord I'm gonna change my ways today.

I agree--it's a voice that brings back a lot of memories, and a certain melancholy pang as well.

I really didn't listen to her much when I was younger. (Too young perhaps.) Now when I hear her songs, it find it slightly creepy how sunny some of them are, when all that anorexia and incest was going on in her life.

It's also very sad.

Agreed. Whenever I dreamed about having 3 wishes, one of them was almost always having the ability to sing like Karen. What a glorious voice. {{sigh}}
