Sometimes I find myself not updating simply to deny certain people access to my internal thoughts so easily. It's never any of my LJ friends, but obviously other people have access to these readings. An interesting thing about not living with the past and mixing it with live journals is that you will always have the past there to openly haunt you through your previous posts...all you have to do is scroll down, and bam! But if you simply delete them or alter them, you're accused of not accepting the past. Alas, you've created quite the paradox for yourself.

I've created no such paradox. These journals are a way for me to get things off my chest, not to keep tabs on my life. Deleting a journal entry doesn't erase the past or the memories from it. These entries are petty to me in this regard. Besides, who says I scroll down, anonymous?
