[The PCD is switched on violently as it clatters to the ground, showing an odd-angle view of the doors of Unohana's clinic. Jotaro is just outside the doors, on his hands and knees on the concrete, raising one hand to wipe blood from his mouth. In his other hand he holds a broken steel pipe

[Kenpachi was following the flying dinosaurs, he hadn't had a chance to play with them yet. Who was he to turn down a chance for more fun? Seeing Jojo already in a fight, he stopped, disappointed. Then he realized that Jojo was not having fun; the other man was in trouble. That was right, Jojo had sacrificed himself to Mayuri...]

Got ya.

[It wasn't much to say, but he wasn't a man of a whole lot of words. Swinging his blade upwards, he catches the one who dove, scratching into the wing.]

[Bleeding heavily, blind in one eye and too furious to think the least bit straight, Jotaro barely notices Kenpachi's appearance in the first few moments. He whirls and swings the pipe and manaes to catch the monster coming at him with the momentum, and is almost surprised when the diving one doesn't show up.]

"Wh - Kenpachi - what - ?"

[The next instant a fighter's instinct takes over and he places himself back to back with the taller man, so they can cover each other. He's not entirely steady on his feet, but with someone at his back, he can stay up for the next round.]

Looked like ya needed help. Just 'cause ya want ta Kurotsuchi don't mean I'm gonna let ya suffer fer it.

[Kenpachi nods at Jojo's action, trying to let the younger man lean on him a little. He could see that Jojo had lost blood. The bird he'd already slashed swooped back down at him and he swung again, looking for a weakness.]

Yeah, this is... fucking mess... [That's the closest Jotaro would come to admitting what a bad place he was in. The robo-dino-bird in front of him kept avoiding the pipe, screeching angrily that it couldn't get to its prey.] Listen - when they dive there's a moment they're open -

[And dive they did, towards the two men's heads. Kenpachi's bells seemed to irritate them especially.
Jotaro struck out, missed, struck again, and a shower of sparks exploded over both of them.]
