i got a phone call today asking if i would like to have a photography show at a gallery in old town (!!!!!!!!) so of course even though time is really limited, i want to do this. right now i have been trying to come up with a theme, but not having much luck. so i am asking for opinions :D

I've always been a sucker for pictures of old houses and barns. Those two last are some of my favorites.

well it's about time you posted again! glad to hear everything is good with you. my faves are the first kisa picture (because she looks very angelic there), first infrared picture (because it's stormy and a bit nighmarish), and both the old farms houses (because they're spooky). :)

Do a mix! Pick an abstract theme like "dark" or "serene" and work from there (obviously, you'll have picked a much better theme). You'll get to have a variety of work on the wall, and you don't need to feel trapped into a little clichéd box.

i thnk i am going to do a "Greatest hits", a collection of my favorites. there won't really be a connectivity through them, but i think that is ok since they will not all be hung together. i think. :)

Jeepers, your photos are getting more and more incredible. This kind of thing is very popular here (check out Melbourne photographer Simon O'Dwyer... esp. his ocean/cliff-ish stuff), everyone would know your name if you brought stuff like this here. Hell everyone should know your name over there, too! They're beautiful :)

I love the second one, of Kisa, and the last two in the last lot. The infrared ocean ones are really special too :) :)

P.S. What about a theme of "pods"? I dunno why, but I find pods special and maternal-ish and therefore meaningful, and you could still do fruit and vegetable pod-ish things (you know what I mean, baby fruits? and peas and such), and you could extend that theme to "abstract" pods like cosy curled-up kisa-pods or whathaveyou. Random idea I know, but the first thing I thought of. I <3 a good pod.

oh i like the pod idea .. i don't have time to do that for this time around, but i will have to do that in the near future :)

I second Dorothy, I really enjoy the pics of the old/abandoned buildings. Your photos should how poetically haunting they are.

And pods, are an awesome idea. Go Scarlette! Seed pods, fish eggs, sweet gum balls ... endless possibilities. Imagine how alien it could turn out???
