Bodice #1

So, right now I suddenly noticed something that I never thought about before. The lace and fabric of this bodice is the same as on the skirt with lace on. Duh! They belong together, and I had no idea. When I photographed them I unpacked a garment, took a pic and re-packed it before I took the next one. Oh well. I believe it's edwardian. they did not have hussles in the edwardian era. the () shaped seam in the front is to denote the breast(s) that woudl be thrust forward in the S shaped corset of the period.

Did you mean bustles? Yes, I think you are right. All the clothes belonged to the same lady, and she seem to have expanded around her waist. :-) This bodice is bigger than the other one, which I think are older. And the skirt has a wider waist as well.
