I see where he's coming from as well, but it pisses me off that after all Caroline has done for him that he hesitated for even one second to help her. I mean gosh, Bonnie hesitates all the time, but she pulls through in the end because they are her friends. I expect Tyler/Michael to start getting flack for this just like Kat got when Bonnie "betrayed" the vamps, sad to say.
I mean she lied ... and he hesitated but he got her out. Maybe this is all just in the heat of the moment. It will get better. Caroline will calm down but Tyler will suffer for the isolation.:(
My whole thing is I want to like Damon. I really do. And when he's hanging out with other dudes, I do like him. I loved the exchange between Damon and Stefan at the beginning of the ep. I like when he and Alaric go on little adventures together, even though I don't have any strong feelings about Alaric either way. I just hate how he suddenly develops these irrational romantic attachments to every woman who'll give him the time of day. I like when he's doing evil things for no reason. 'Pire up, buddy. I hate when he's all needy. He's like

I want to like Damon too. I hate despising half of my ship, but I can't get behind a character like this and I feel like if Damon wasn't played by Ian most of the fandom would wash their hands of him as well. I have to say that I like Damon the most when he's being smart about thing. I differ from you because I don't like it when he's just killing people because he can. Now if he's like Elijah-- ripping out hearts because it serves a purpose then okay. I UNDERSTAND THAT. Damon...not so much

I love that Stefan has flaws but he still tries to be the best person he can. People might find that boring, but it's one of the things I love most about him. Truthfully, I wasn't crazy about Stefan until I saw him in Miss Mystic Falls and how much he actually struggles with his bloodlust. Watching him want to die and coming back from that is what I enjoyed about his character development. I think Stefan could be just like Damon, but he's CHOOSING to be better. I believe Stefan wants to kill and indulge, but he knows that that's not the person he wants to be so he doesn't. I think that's why I don't really sympathize with what Damon's going through. All the stuff he's crying about now has been done so it's not like it's impossible for him

Like you, the bloodlust arc is when I first started to like Stefan. I didn't dislike him before that, I just didn't find him all that interesting.
With Damon, if the writers were still painting him as a villain, I wouldn't care what he did...BUT...now they're playing into fandom's love for him and acting like he's just 'lost his way' or something and I'm sorry but no. Someone who rapes & murders has not 'lost his way', he's just evil. Until they acknowledge that, I'll never be able to feel anything but dislike for Damon.
I actually like Jeremy & Bonnie because, as you said, he's on her side. He's supporting her and trying to protect her and I like that. But yes, it would be a lot easier to care about them if we actually got to see the evolution of their relationship and so far, we really haven't. Like, we went from Bonnie saying she couldn't have feelings for him to them essentially on a date. How did that happen?! :)
Stefan rocks. I'm a fan of both Salvatore brothers. I'm Stelena but I love Caroline/Stefan too and he was so sweet to her tonight. I love the friendship but I swear the firs time he went to her house I kept thinking just dump Elena history doesn't need to keep repeating itself. I love the idea of Jermy/Bonnie. I'm a big fan but I think we sort of missed a step. I figured that we'd atleast have a scene where Bonnie realizes it's okay to hang around him.
Tyler disappointed me too. I'm glad Caroline slammed the door in his face. He lost an allie. In the long run he's going to figure out it's not just vampires vs werewolves it's good vs evil and when he does he's going to have burned one too many bridges.
Bonnie is the only one that's going to hold Damon accountable. Kat tweeted that she got to play the last episode the filmed so I'm wondering if Bonnie's set his ass on fire again.
I would honestly be a Damon fan if I knew where the character was going. As of right now, I just don't understand him. No matter how much I try to, I come up blank so for right now, I'm strictly all about Stefan. Paul Wesley has this thing (and I've noticed it with all the females he works with whether it be the girls or characters like Amber, Grams, or Vicki) where he just exudes such charm and charisma that I honestly don't know who Stefan DOESN'T have chemistry with.
I also feel like I missed something with Bonnie/Jeremy given the last time they were on screen together, but whatever. I'm not really on the wagon although I find them cute and I do think that Bonnie needs someone down for her.

I don't understand. What did Kat mean?

The thing about Damon is that we don't know what direction he's going in. He's kind of the bad guy that's a good guy some of the time.
I agree with you about Paul I think that's why I ship Stefan with just about everyone. LOL
